I’m on a conference call and I *literally* just laughed out loud at this.
Damn you

Nah, I don’t do that - my office door doesn’t lock.

Whats the question?

something to do with ECU and motor compatibility.

Ah. Not directly with motorcycles, but i have experience playing with things like this. My answer ended up being that worst case, you change connectors on the harness to match whatever sensor fits, but if all the sensors are able to connect, at worst you may just need to get a tune to resolve any running issues, or to make it run in the first place.

all the thing match, It just a matter if I can get away with just a coil change or if i need to swap the ECU between them as well.

Ah, I see. Well, you could break that down a bit. Do the bikes have similar engine size, cam profiles and rev range? If they’re similar enough, you might be able to get away with it. If they’re wildly different, not likely unless you had a new tune done that reflected the changes.
I plan on doing an ECU/motor swap in the HEMIWagon, and I know for a fact I am going to need a baseline tune on it for it to even be able to idle because so many things will be different.

mechanically, the motor itself is the EXACT same aside from one having an extra plug in the head. sensors everything else bolts up.
what I DONT know is the timing. I need to know if the dual plug motor fires both plugs at the same time or at slightly different times to burn all the gas, VS the timing on the single plug.
if they fire at the same time as the single plug, I think i can get away with just changing out the coils and thats it.
if its different timing, i wil have to swap the ECU (not that its hard, but I really dont want to pull the plugs and rish doing SOMETHING to it if I can avoid it)

I actually am familiar with this because the HEMI cars used a waste spark system originally, but removed the system and went to dual spark. A common mod is to swap the dual spark system onto the earlier motors, either by custom plug wires (what I have), or swapping valve covers and going to the newer coil packs.
I would say with my experience that it shouldnt matter which way you go. The way to tell would be to hook up spark testers and watch them for when they light up. Either way, while I know that waste spark has benefits, the dual spark will have a hotter burn right away, maybe having similar enough effects?
Hows that for an answer?

close but no cigar.
you are talking about the amount of sparks, where as I need to deal with the actual timing of spark (and which has which)

I think we are talking about the same thing, but suit yourself. Waste spark vs dual spark.

I could connect you with the President of our Road racing association, he has built and rebuilt countless SV motors. Knows them inside and out.
